Choose the Right Dealership!
Choosing the right Dealership will depend whether you are buying a New or Pre-owned vehicle and the type of financing that you will need.

Car Buying Tip of the Day!
Don't forget about Gap Insurance! Especially if you put less than 25% down, you will owe more than your vehicle is worth. Gap Insurance will pay for the difference! Don't get stuck with this extra debt!
If you don’t know what type of financing you will need, please see our Type of Financing page.

Sites like Cars.com, InvoiceDealers, Yahoo! Autos, Autos.com, Edmunds.com, MyRide.com and Carsdirect will offer reviews about local Dealerships in your area. This is a very good resource to use when choosing a Dealership.

Prime or Sub-prime:

If you are looking to purchase a New vehicle, than do some research about your local franchised dealerships.

If you are thinking about getting a Pre-owned vehicle than search for it on one of the following sites like Cars.com, InvoiceDealers, Yahoo!Autos, Autos.com, Edmunds.com, MyRide.com and CarsDirect. Once you find it, look at the information on their Reviews page about the Dealership that has the Vehicle and look up the Dealership at bbb.org and make sure that they are legitimate.

2nd Chance Financing:

You might want to look up local Dealerships in your area that deal with Bad Credit, 2nd and 3rd chance financing. Get clues on whether or not they deal with valid 2nd chance finance companies like Westlake Financial, Credit Acceptance, Peoples Credit Co., Regional Acceptance, Western Funding, SafCo, Mid-Atlantic Finance, etc.

When you are shopping for a car it is easy to get caught up in the moment. While there are some beautiful cars in the Dealership, just remember that if you have Bad Credit, you will probably not be able to afford the newest, top-of-the-line models. You can also apply to Dealerships in your area through CarsDirect who has a program set up with Dealerships who specialize in Bad Credit Auto Loans.

It won’t be easy finding the right dealership since almost every Franchised Dealership claims to offer Bad Credit Fnancing but in most cases, won’t be able to help you. Look for our Bad Credit Dealerships page coming soon.

In-House Financing:

Finding the right In-House or Buy-Here-Pay-Here car lot is not easy. Here are a few things to look for:

Find a Dealership that offers a Warranty on all of their vehicles.

Find an In-House Dealership with good Reviews. You can usually find reviews on Google.com or bbb.org.

Look for a Car Lot that has their own Certified Mechanic, this will increase the chances that they inspect their vehicles before selling them – plus if you have any issues with your vehicle, it will be easier for them to assist you.

Make sure that they have Back-End Products to offer you, like Extended Warranties, Gap etc.

Be careful with some Buy-Here-Pay-Here Dealerships that dedicate themselves to selling vehicles and finding ways to reposes them in order to sell them again and again. Ask a lot of questions – like what happens if you need a few extra days to make your payment etc.
